black & white killers!
from "Deux tueurs"

Mezzo is one of the best French drawer. Believe me. He got a few albums out, and is working as illustrator for books and CD or LP covers. On this page you will find a little piece of his work and the list of the comics he published, plus a few links concerning him. He works very often with his scenarist, Pirus.
He accepted to do the cover for our first "Fuel Stereo Crash" album, and also for the second record "Sixty Seconds Swingers". We also used a drawing from him for the split single with the Dialtones. Ok, that's it!

Les désarmés Black & white is beautiful
from "Les désarmés" - from "Mickey Mickey

"Les désarmés" is composed in two volumes. A mix of Chandler and Faulkner... Incest, sadism, heat...can you imagine that? One of the rare colored comix from Mezzo.

"Deux tueurs" - Black humor and two pathetic killers, one is old and the other is stupid young. A chimical factory in the desert... what's going wrong?

"Mickey Mickey" is a Tarantinesque (bah, better!) story about a hold-up. The drawing is high precision surgery. Cold and deep black.

"Un Monde étrange" - Four short stories. Black and hopeless. The love story between Jimmy (Dean?) and his car is funny to death...
